Easy Full of Protein Waffles! Easy, everyone likes easy. Full of protein, perfect! Waffles, what more does breakfast really need? There is not a whole lot to say about these waffles. Except that they are amazing! They have so much protein which we all need especially if we are training those muscles to be big and strong. It is two steps to deliciousness, ten minutes to eating waffles you will not regret. Make these and you will never need another recipe for waffles because these are simple and everything you need in a waffle. If you care to make these even better than the already are, you can top them with some super-duper delightful things.
Ideas for waffle toppings:
Strawberry and coconut whipped cream
Banana and hazelnut spread
Fried apple cinnamon and maple syrup
Now that we have established that these are the best protein waffles ever, I will tell about my crazy experience grocery shopping this week. Not that crazy. But anyways. So once a month I go shopping for things in bulk, that last long and that are heavy. I can’t be bothered getting things like that all the time, partly because I live on the sixth floor with no elevator and partly because I am crazy about organizing things. I get them delivered directly to the flat. It is super practical and sometimes I even help them carry 20 kilo bags u six flights of stairs. Sometimes.
So I go do my shopping. I pay, everything is good, I give them my address and I go home to wait for them. I am waiting and waiting until the shop is about to close so I call, I call three more times, they don’t pick up and they never come. The next morning I ring them explain what happened and they tell me that they came but no one answered the phone. True story because Franck was out and didn’t have reception and they didn’t have my number. In my defense I did call them four times and no one picked up. Just saying. So they tell me no problem we have your groceries in the back we will deliver them today. I’m like okay awesome thank you.
A few hours later still no food. I call and the delivery man gives me a number for his manager so I call his manager and he doesn’t answer obviously because that seems to be the theme here. So it’s now 8:30pm and I have eaten a slice of toast with peanut butter and three rice cakes because add some ice in there and that’s all we had in the house. I didn’t go to the gym because at any moment they could stop by and I couldn’t do any recipes because you can’t make much with rice cakes and ice.
So I decide to take matters in my own hand and go to the store and pick up my things. I get there to find out no one has a clue what I am talking about. Now the store manager is trying to call his delivery guys and what do you know they are not picking up. Finally after sending out a search party.. ha ha just kidding. Finally the delivery manager calls back to tell us that they put everything back on the shelves last night… At this point I was already thinking this story could really go anywhere and I will not be shocked. I was also so hungry that I was about to open up and eat the closest thing to me. (Sometimes I open things and eat them while I shop, who doesn’t ?) So anyways I just start laughing out loud and one guy says to the other “Okay we have driven this girl crazy enough lets refund her so she can be on her way”. So they did and they gave me some free Easter chocolate. I did all my shopping again and took it home myself.
Maybe you are thinking that I was going out of my mind and yes, yes I was. But I also didn’t get upset and I was understanding even though they should have told me that morning that they put all my things away. I am a calm person and I have a lot of patience, my way of dealing with things like this is to just laugh about it but also I will keep it inside and let it drive me a bit crazy. So if we can take anything out of this story, being honest saves people from going out of their minds. Also I may rethink getting my groceries delivered because if I had to go through that again I probably would not laugh a second time.
I don’t really blame the store but this is definitely not my fault… right? It was just a bunch of misunderstandings and bad communication I guess. Anyways it’s over now so I’m thinking WAFFLE PARTY!! With my newly stocked fridge and some deliciousness toppings!
